  • Groundwork Project

    Received a $25,000 unrestricted grant from this national organization in 2021.

  • Alabama Arise - Cover Alabama

    We currently sit as a member of the Grassroots Committee for Cover Alabama.

  • Alabama Arise - Kids Hunger

    We received a $4,000 subgrant in 2021 from Kids Hunger.

  • Alabama Forward

    We received 3 subgrants totaling $37,000 from Alabama Forward in 2021.

  • AL Voters Rights Coalition

    This is a statewide coalition of organizations advocating for voters rights to include voter rights restoration. More information coming soon.

  • Empowering Women's Causes (EWC)

    EWC, an organization supporting progressive women running for office in North Alabama, is pursuing 501c4 status. UWOC will serve as a 501c3 ally.

  • Madison County Remembrance Project

    UWOC currently serves as fiscal sponsor to MCRP and receives a 5% administrative fee for all funds received on behalf of MCRP.

  • Movement for Black Lives

    UWOC is a member organization of the M4BL ecosystem and serves on tables for Base-building & Organizing as well as Policy.

  • Rosa Parks Committee

    Rosa Parks Committee Huntsville/Madison County honors the work of the legendary Civil Rights icon.

  • Troop 400

    As an organization that believes in the significance of civic engagement, we are offering citizenship workshops and mentorship opportunities to the all female troop 400 of the Boy Scouts at Searcy Homes.
