Inspired by the film The Six Triple Eight, each participant will choose one of two historical fiction novels to read: Women of the Post by Joshundra Sanders, featuring thirty-six letters from three women in the all-Black, all-female battalion during World War II, or Sisters in Arms by Kaia Alderson, which highlights the experiences of two women in the same battalion.
