Equal Justice Initiative Trip 2025
Forty-three people of diverse ages and ethnic backgrounds traveled to the Equal Justice Initiative in Montgomery on February 22, 2025. Facing truths can be harrowing: We’re honored so many wanted to spend their precious Saturday with us, learning more about our nation’s horrific past and how it still affects us today. I was sad to miss the conversation and fellowship. Please know you make a difference in the UWOC community and our community at large. We are grateful for you.
We are fortunate to have the expansive and impressive EJI Legacy Sites in our state. Its beautiful artistry stands in contrast to the horrors it tells. United Women of Color is committed to sharing comprehensive American history. We look forward to taking this trip as many times as we can.
Thank you always,
Amy, Project Coordinator
Will you offer public support for placing a racial terror lynching historical marker in downtown Huntsville? Please sign HERE if we can share your support as we talk with city officials?
